CORAL

5 string bass

When Ted Guitars adds a string to his bass, he adds a lot more than just a string.

With a unique body sculpted in wood and fitted with aluminum, Corail produces a unique sound. It is the result of a collaboration with Sébastien Tibackx.

SINGLE BASS, SINGLE PICKUPS

All Ted basses are designed to deliver sound that matches their unique personality by harnessing the unparalleled acoustic powers of aluminum.

This is why Corail is equipped with a set of CREL microphones, developed exclusively for Ted Guitars and manufactured in France.

VINTAGE AND HIGH-TECH NECKS

Ted Guitars designs and manufactures necks entirely using traditional methods, supported by today's technical means.
But also to practice a reasoned production by excluding woods coming from far away to favor high quality French species. These woods are perfect for violin making and offer great reliability during the drying and cutting phases.

The Olivier ash for the fingerboard, combined with the maple for the neck, seemed to us to be the perfect combination, and to provide unique sensations with a Ted bass in the hands. Other species are nevertheless possible on request.

The design of the handle was based on the best proven standards.

A 12'' radius, a pleasant section, and the right compromise between robustness and ergonomics, for a pleasant grip and great playing comfort.

The Tusq nut brings out the best in the sound of the bass, as well as the woods of the neck, which complement it with their warm mids and bass, an unprecedented marriage of materials at the service of the sound.

The Schaller tuners and bridge are the only components produced outside France. Ted Guitars is studying how to do things differently in the future, and for the moment is placing its trust in two impeccable references.

Always looking to improve its products, Ted Guitars does not refrain from studying specific requests, to satisfy its customers' expectations as much as possible.
