ARTISTS AND COLLABORATIONS
The resources of our Custom workshop meet the requirements of professional guitarists and allow us to manufacture unique instruments for talented artists. Luthiers from worlds far removed from Ted Guitars have also been seduced by the performance of aluminum and have shared their expertise for collaborations that enrich our catalog.
SAPHYR YAROL POUPAUD
A Saphyr produced in a unique copy especially for Yarol.
Seduced by the sound of Ted guitars after testing them, Yarol wanted to get his hands on a Saphyr Sidérale whose sound holes had been replaced by the backlit acronym FFF. This Saphyr is one of the guitars that Yarol takes on tour, and which he named "the Barbès guitar", after the FFF hit that Yarol plays exclusively on his Ted.
Find out in this episode of Tone Factory why Yarol chose Saphyr.
BAUXITE SEBASTIEN CHOUARD
A special series Bauxite, with Galaxy finish and signed head plating .
This guitar features a refined finish as well as an aluminum headstock plating, which you can, if you choose it for your guitar, personalize with a unique stamp or sign.
While Ted had been following Sébastien Chouard's career for years, this seasoned guitarist had the opportunity to try Bauxite, and he immediately fell in love.
This was followed by the Cali summer tour, during which Sébastien played Motel, before Ted designed him a signature model that bears his stamp on the aluminum-plated headstock.
This exclusive Bauxite produced in very small quantities features the Galaxie finish and a vibrato that Sébastien is particularly fond of.
TED-K
Fred KOPO feat. Ted
The mutual admiration that Ted and Fred Kopo have for each other led the two luthiers to collaborate closely on this model called Ted-K.
The body and headstock design is by Fred Kopo himself, and the patterns on the body are the work of artist Nathalie Léonard.
MOTEL OLIVIER ROUQUIER
Olivier Rouquier is not only a guitarist, author and composer. He has also been the editor-in-chief of the Guitar Part magazine buying guide for 20 years. He had never associated his name with a guitar brand, no matter how prestigious. As a guitar enthusiast, he scours lutherie trade shows always looking for new products. And when he discovered Ted guitars at the Montreux show in 2022, he decided to make a Motel his signature model.
He chose a set of Nashville-type microphones made by the French manufacturer Hepcat, whose particularity is the addition of the middle microphone of the Stratocaster between the two single microphones of the Telecaster.
A touch of character in Olivier ash blends perfectly with a flamed finish on the body.
